Hold Me Near

Hold Me Near

Off Their Album: Chair and Microphone 3

Hold me near,

when I am restless

Hold me near,

when I am bitter

Hold me near,

when I’m rebellious

Hold me near until the end

Hold me near,

when my heart is broken

Hold me near,

when I’m ignorant

Hold me near,

when I am jealous

Hold me near until the end

But as for me,

my feet almost gave up,

I nearly sold my heart

It’s good to be held by my father,

its good to be where you are …

Habakkuk 2:2,3

Then the Lord answered me and said, “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Ezekiel 12:25

For I am the Lord, I speak and the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed, for in your days I will say the word and perform it.

Isaiah 14:24

Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass, And as I have purposed, so shall it stand.

Isaiah 30:21

Your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, This is the way walk in it….

Isaiah 28:23

Give ear and hear my voice, listen and hear my speech…

Hosea 10:12

Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap in mercy, Break up your fallow ground,

For it is the time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rains righteousness on you.

Psalm 32:8

I will instruct you and teach you in the way that you should go, I will guide you with my eye.

We are feeling the love….

We are feeling the love….

Buzzing alarms and sirens filled our morning yesterday, as a tornado rapidly spread across our county.

During our 4 1/2 years of living here we have heard these sirens enough to recognize the meaning behind them.  Yet…for some strange, demented reason we chose to go on about our daily duties, maybe it has to do with the confidence we have in death and knowing our final destination. While the rest of the smart world runs for cover, we find our  “california selves” walking along as if we did not know it was coming.  Josh spent the morning walking his normal route for work reading meters, it’s not that he didn’t notice the sky getting darker and the winds picking up; he just didn’t see any importance in not finishing his days work.  UNTIL…..

Some people came out of their houses and said, “Are you crazy, you better get inside, a tornado is coming.” Here are some of the pictures involved.

I guess it was a little worst that we thought.  You can click this link to read about some of the damage done and the actual location.

As for us, the kids, dog, and our house/property we were all untouched by any of it.

The rest of the day was spent on the phone with so many of you very concerned friends and family who love us!  Thank you for thinking of us….Its nice to know if for some reason we did get swept away that we would be missed!

Yes MOM we will be more careful next time!

6 NEEDS in twenty12

6 NEEDS in twenty12

One thing that you can be certain about in the coming year

is that you can’t be certain about what is ahead.

This is a great blessing, because….

you do not need to know.

To know what is ahead and the details of what will happen

would be too great a burden to carry and to great a responsibility to bear

What you do need to know about the future

is Not what is ahead of you,

But

Who is ahead of you

and is preparing the way for you

Your future is in His Sure, Strong, Caring hands.

I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will  bring you back to this land.  I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you. Genesis 28:15

As you pass through the door of 2011 and enter the door of 2012 here are six needs you are certain to have:

1. there will be the need for prayer

2. there will be the need for trust

3. there will be the need to obey

4. there will be the need to forgive

5. there will  be the need to be faithful

6. there will be the need for Jesus
